God Raises Up Gideon Once again the children of Israel disobey God and worship false idols, he allows them to fall in the hands of the Midanites, who treated them badly for seven years. He sends an Angel to tell Gideon that he has been chosen to deliver the Israelites out of the hands of their enemies, but he has doubts and asks for signs that God will help him fight against the Midanites.
