King Herod Grippa was arresting Christians and putting them in prison. Blastus became a mediator between the countries and believed to be involved in the events that led to the death of the King.

Despite Micah's plea for more time, Hazor, though forgiven by the King, adamantly refuses to forgive Micah's debt and instead sends him to prison. When the King learns of Hazor's unmerciful act, he orders Micah's release and arrests Hazor in his place. Confronting Hazor, the King questions, 'I showed you mercy, but how can I forgive you when you refuse to forgive others?'
Peter interprets the parable, explaining that the wise King symbolizes God, and His forgiveness is available to all if we can accept it and freely extend forgiveness to others, just as Peter forgave the tax collectors."
